Your Legacy
Each one of us has a special pet name for Mrs. Julia A. Allen Jacqui called you Jewel Ray Joe called you Ju-Bug We all called you Aunt Julia Everyone in Burke County called you Julia Agnes And of course, Diane and Titus called you Mrs. Allen
The one that best describes you is "SISTER", not just because of your relationship with your brother and sisters, but also because of the role that you played as the keeper of the traditional family gatherings. Through your efforts the Shubert Family will always cherish fond memories of backyard bar-b-cues, holiday dinners, birthday parties, weddings and receptions on Que Street, not to mention those long distance phone calls to get "the news"!
Thank you for teaching us the importance of coming together as a family. Sister Julia's legacy will always live on in our hearts and minds every time we celebrate as a family.

Celebration of Life

The Family of Mrs. Julia A. Allen would like to acknowledge the overwhelming kindness, support and consideration that has sustained us over the years. Every time you sent a lovely card, we saw the love of God. Whenever you sent a beautiful flower, we could smell the presence of our King. Any time you prepared a delicious meal, we could taste the goodness of Christ. At the moment that you whispered a little prayer, we could feel the power of God. Through your light, God was able to shine in our lives.

Psalm 27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid.
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that I will seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
