- This video recording, dated June 12, 1996, captures a speech delivered by Trinidadian activist and scholar Kwame Ture (formerly known as Stokely Carmichael) in Trinidad and Tobago. He people of African descent to become active in the political arena in their countries on a daily basis, stressing that the struggle for civil rights and liberation is "eternal." Ture argues that the neo-colonialism of the day is the end game for imperialism and that Africa will be the first unified continent on Earth.
