- The conclusions drawn from the findings suggest that the double-consciousness did, in fact, provide space for Black fighting men to exercise their citizenship, assert their collective humanity, and also support their oppressed communities within American society. However, these efforts were unable to achieve racial equality for Black America in the face of a dominant white culture.
