- Description:
- This study examines the understanding of self and romantic relationships of cisgender, heterosexual Black women, and the intimate romantic relationships they have with men. This study was based on the premise that objectification of Black women reflects onto` the way in which they understand themselves and influences the interactions the group has with men on an intimate romantic level. A qualitative analysis approach was used to analyze data gathered by conducting in depth interviews with Black women and men. This research discovers reoccurring themes that objectification presents between Black women and men in their intimate romantic experiences.
