- Description:
- The purpose of this study was to assess the variables depression, anxiety, patient satisfaction, and social adjustment among transitioned veterans to determine if there was a statistical significant relationship. This study was based on considerable evidence that many veterans suffer from high levels of subjective stress. An exploratory descriptive study utilized a nonprobability convenience sample of 24 veterans to measure depression, anxiety, patient satisfaction, and social adjustment upon transitioning back into civilian life. Frequency distribution, cross tabulations, and Pearsons chi-square were used to analyze the data. The researcher found that there was no statistical significance for veterans experiencing depression, anxiety, patient satisfaction, and social adjustment upon transitioning at the p>.05 level, thus accepting the null hypothesis.
