- Description:
- This thesis is an empirical examination of the probable effects of a continued high rate of immigrants on the employment and wage rate of domestic workers. We constructed a model to estimate the impact that each additional immigrant has on the employment and income of the U. S. domestic workers. The objective of this thesis is to use an econometrics model to explain the effect of increased immigrants on cross section variations in employment and wages of domestic workers. All the results from this thesis point to the conclusion that moderately large inflow of immigrants does not pose serious economic threats to employment of natives.
