- Description:
- The objective of this exploratory research was designed to examine how the role perception of black pastors impact on the provision of church-based services to African American males, judged by many to be the most endangered cohort in American society. The population under study was 19 black pastors who responded to a mailed questionnaire. The results revealed no statistical relationship existed between the role perception of black pastors and the provision of church-based services to African American males. Descriptive statistics revealed that many black churches arc providing a wide-range of services to this population. Further research is warranted on this subject due to the limited body of knowledge currently available.
