- We study certain mathematical properties of a dynamic system consisting of two interacting units. A two compartmental model with leakage and feedback is used to derive the system equations which are two coupled, first-order, ordinary differential equations. The fixed-points are located and their stability properties are calculated. The qualitative theory of differential equations is used to determine the global properties of the solutions in the corresponding phase-space.
