For the purpose of this study data were collected, tabulated and analyzed cross-sectiona11y on participants, from January through December of 1991, in Fulton County's Project Re-Direction. Specifically, the data included the following characteristics; gender, race, age, marital status, living arrangements, head of household status, income level, educational level, employment status at time of arrest, charges at time of arrest. Findings indicate that there are no significant differences between the two profiles.
