- The purpose of this study was to investigate the dropout trend of kindergartners in the eight metropolitan statistical areas in Georgia for academic years 1986-1989. All data for this study were collected from archival records from the Georgia State Department of Education, and the United States Bureau of the Census. Data were analyzed by proportional hypothesis testing, and results indicated that there was insufficient evidence to reject the three study hypotheses.
