To attain this objective, the following areas were addressed by the researcher: (a) investigating child abuse and neglect cases, (b) investigating child neglect cases, (c) investigating physical abuse cases, (c) investigating sexual abuse cases, and (d) investigative difficulties. A comparative study design was used to compare group one (specialized child abuse unit) to group two (non-specialized unit).
