- Description:
- The purpose of this study is to examine the issues surrounding worker participation in decision-making in the workplace. The significance of the study lies in the fact that a new management style which permits workers to be involved in decision-making is being developed to replace the traditional methods by which only management made decisions. This new management style will lead to an overall improvement in employee morale and productivity. The major finding is that, despite the issues surrounding worker participation in management decision-making, if properly implemented, worker participation contributes to the improvement of employee morale, job satisfaction, motivation, productivity, and the quality of work-life. The data used in this study were obtained from books and periodicals.
