Written on verso: Chapter News -- Mrs. Vera Cooley, president of the Calhoun County Chapter of SCLC/WOMEN in Alabama, accepts the "Distinguished Service Award" from chapter President Nimrod Q. Reynolds during the annual awards banquet in Anniston last July. Mrs. Cooley was cited for her "undying devotion and dedication to the struggle to overcome racial injustice."
