- This video features footage of various scheduled events that are part of the SCLC/WOMEN Civil Rights Heritage Tour on October 2-3, 2004, with a theme dedicated to getting out the vote. This video begins with an introduction of the tour by Evelyn G. Lowery, reflections and remarks by Barbara Cross and other tour participants. Sites visited on this tour include the 16th Street Baptist Church, Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, and Kelly Ingram Park. This recording also features tour participants rallying for the right to vote in Birmingham, Alabama at which elected officials, NAACP representatives, and SCLC members give remarks and register participants to vote. At 01:18:00, Yvonne Lowery, Evelyn G. Lowery, Lula Williams, and Clark Atlanta University students share reflections of their tour experience and the importance of voting. This video concludes with the reading of litanies at civil rights memorial monuments.
