- This audio recording is split into two separate sermons by Gerald Ray Jordan. Jordan (1896-1964) was a Methodist clergyman professor, and author. He graduated from Trinity College, Emory University, and Yale University. He later served as professor and chapel preacher at the Candler School of Theology in Emory University, Atlanta, GA. In the first sermon, he begins by referencing the Biblical book of Luke. he discusses that is has become more difficult now than it has ever been to believe in God and get others to do the same. The second sermon begins with the speaker outlining the four emphases that are at the center of any Christian message. He then stresses the importance of Christian imagination. He says a minister needs to learn how to "crawl into the skins of other people and feel what they feel" in order to truly be able to move people.Distortion for approximately the first thirty seconds.
