- Description:
- Georgia-based farmer Keisha Cameron discusses her farming operation - growing Indigo for fiber dying, raising a herd of sheep for wool, growing a myriad of plant varieties, and sharing these resources with the public via open days at the farm. She also discusses her childhood experiences of cooking and gardening with fond memories of banana bread, cherry trees, and lasagna. Her farm work extends beyond to the other work she has done in the DEI space, highlighting the systemic racism inherent in American systems (including farming), but also the rich histories of African American farmers. Finally, she also centers on her three sons and how raising them on the farm connects to her overall values.
