Mr. John Professor Watson, better known as "The People's echanic," was a friend to everyone he met. :-He was born
J on February 7, 1945 to the late Homer Lee Putman and Mylie Watson Tyson in Lawrenceville, - Georgi~. He
graduated from Hooper Renwick High School in 1963,and
later became a mechanic for The City of,Lawrenceville until he moved to Atlanta. He then became a mechanic for The Atlanta Gas Company where he worked for 34 years until he retired. He truly loved the Lord and served at [ Pleasant Hill Baptist Church until his illness invaded his J ody. He looked forward to hearing God speak through Pastor Dunnigan and hearing the choir sing of which he missed most of all when he became disabled and unable to travel to church. He was a wise and humble man who gave
mooh and asked for very little, if anything at all.
He left his earthly vessel on May 7, 2015. He fought a
fi
good and faithful fight. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife Sharon Watson his helpmate of 16 years; 2 sons, Anthony Tanner and Bernard Tucker; 1 daughter, Nicole Watson; a step daughter, Starlet Smith; son..in-law, Charles Jackson; step son, 1oe Ross; 2 grand daughters, Chanya & Charnesia Jackson; 2 brothers, Marvin Griffm & Grady (Beverly) Smith; 2 sisters, Dorothy Abney & Patricia Rogers; communication buddy, George Abney; a special cousin, Geraldine Maddox and a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
