At late or early hours.
On Wednesday, March 15, 1989 the clock stood still for our beloved MR. BmDm WESLEY CHAMBERS. He was born December 28, 1919 in Lovejoy, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Chambers.
At an early age, he joined the New Great Chapel
A.M.E. Church.
He grew up in the Lovejoy Community and was educated through the Clayton County Public School System where he gained many friends.
On April 14, 1946 .he married the former Catherine Davenport. He was a good husband, friend and provider.
Birdie was loved and respected by the many who knew him and possessed a dynamic personality that radiated warmth whenever he was around.
Although confined to his home during tbe past months (due to his illness), he coninued to maintain a positive outlook on life and a winning sense of hu~or to his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory - A loving and devoted wife: Mrs. Catherine Chambers; Two (2) daughters: Ms. Jacqueline Ann Foster and Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas (Dwanne) of East Point, GA; Four (4) Sisters~ Mr. hlld Mrs. J. W. Eason (Precious), Mr. and Mrs. James Lovell (Kate), Mr. and Mrs. Grady Maddox (Betty) and Mrs. Annie Bell Heard; Brother: Mr. Jack Chambers; several sisters and brothers-in-law; 6 Grandchildren; 5 Great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
