Our beloved CHARLES J. ADAMS was born December 6,
1918 to the late Addison and Drudlla B. Adams in Vidalia, Georgia. IIe departed this life quietly on March 15, 2000.
Charles, affectionately known as C.J. to some, attended schools in the Georgia area. He served a four year tour of duty in the United States Army. He worked many years as a long haul truck driver and a construction foreman.
He settled in Philadelphia, PA where he met and married Dora Coe a loving and devoted wife. Charles was a strong, robust, and proud n1an even while struggling with his illness. On Sunday evening March 12,2000 he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour to come into his life and do His will.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Dora; children, Marvin, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Betty Ann, Katie (deceased), Diane, Loretta, Ann, Antonio, Ronnie, Tabitha, and Markeda. Stepchildren, Bobby, Belinda, and Gwendolyn. Three sons-in-law and two daughters-in-law. Sisters, Ollie Bell, Louise, Sarah Nell, Girlden, Lillian, Helen, Alice, and Connie. Four sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
