Description
Benjamin Mandeville "Mann" Long (1881-1973) was an insurance agent in Carrollton from 1917 until his retirement in the 1960s. Many of his photographs documented insurance claims or buildings belonging to policy-holders. His father, H. W. Long, served three terms as Carrollton mayor, and his grandfather, B.M. Long, was said to be the first white child born in Carroll County. Long's grandfather served as a legislator in both the Georgia and Alabama assemblies. He established the town of Cordova in Alabama.
