Description
Medical College of Georgia was founded in 1828 and is the 13th-oldest medical school in the United States and the third-oldest in the Southeast. This collection features the entire series the oldest medical journal published in the southeast region of the nation, The Southern Medical and Surgical Journal (SMSJ).It was first published in June 1836 by the faculty of the newly established Medical College of Georgia. In conjunction with the SMSJ in the same time period, this collection includes student lecture notes faculty and board of trustees meeting minutes and a student registry.
