Description
The May Ivie Valise collection contains correspondence, printed programs, military documents, and a composition book belonging to May Ivie, an alumna of Piedmont College from the 1940s.
Contents were contained in a black boards valise with leather handle and corner reinforcements; decorated on front and back cover with Piedmont green and gold pendant stickers (Lion’s head). Scans were made by permission of the owner of the valise and its contents, Tiffany Collins.
Piedmont College Library is very grateful to have received assistance with the May Ivey Valise Collection, made possible by a grant awarded in 2017-2018 to the Digital Library of Georgia. The assistance included support for the creation and enhancement of the metadata associated with this collection and training and advice about the creation and management of digital collections.
