Description
The Georgia Official and Statistical Register, published from 1923-1990 by the Georgia Department of Archives and History, is commonly known as the Georgia Blue Book. Considered to be a major reference work for historical research, the register contains brief biographical sketches of state elected officials, federal and state Congressional members, state agency organization and administration, and election statistics. Rosters of Georgia governors and congressional members, poets laureate, population of counties, lists of county officers, and the state song are a few examples of county and state miscellany.
