Description
The Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) was founded by Mrs. Minnie Hale Daniel officially in 1928 as a non-profit corporation to serve women in the legal profession. GAWL is a statewide organization with chapters throughout Georgia. The Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) records, 1916-2016, consists of the organization's bylaws, annual reports, board minutes, certificates, correspondence and membership directories. Booklets, invitations and other programming materials represent GAWL's many activities such as retreats, luncheons, annual dinner and art auction. Eight scrapbooks illustrate the history of the organization extensively.
