The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders was a line infantry regiment of the British Army that existed from 1881 until amalgamation into the Royal Regiment of Scotland on 28 March 2006. This card is one of a series of 82 depicting statuettes made in the 1930s.  They were replicas of the carved wooden models designed by Charles d’Orville Pilkington Jackson (1887-1973) for the opening of the Scottish United Services Museum in 1933.
