This 30-foot monument of Oglesby Marble with 12-foot base was erected on Memorial Day in 1909 to the memory of Colquitt County’s Confederate figures. The Courthouse is a historic government building constructed in 1902 and located at Courthouse Square. It is the third courthouse to serve in Colquitt County. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 18, 1980. Text on reverse: Colquitt County Courthouse, Moultrie, Georgia. Card number 2226.
