Caskey served as contractor for the construction of the Akron Plan facility, a scheme for the design of churches and other religious buildings that housed Sunday schools characterized by a set of wedge-shaped classrooms The building was dedicated on Sunday, December 19, 1915, with a building cost of $46,000.Text on reverse: The First Christian Church was organized in May 1876. The present building was completed in December 1915.
