Highways 78 and 278, and Georgia State Highway 139. It is 10 miles from downtown Atlanta, 12 miles from Marietta, 11 miles from the Lockheed - Georgia Company and Dobbins Air Force Base, and 5 miles from the Fulton County Airport. Mableton has a population of 21,095. Mableton Division Census Tract CC-13 embraces over 19,000 acres, with a current population of slightly over one person per acre. Since the bulk of the population is concentrated within approximately a two-mile radius of the Mable ton post office and railroad station, there is room for further growth with hundreds of acres of land zoned for industry and served by the Southern Railway System and the Seaboard Air Line Railroad. This Census Tract CC-13 is bounded on the Southeast by the Chattahoochee River and Fulton County, on the Southwest by Dohglas County, on the Northeast by Buttermilk Creek, on the North by Concord Road and the Seaboard Air Line Railroad.
