VSU’s total economic impact on its four-county MSA for FY 2006 was $331.7 million. With respect to its impact on the workforce, 5,183 jobs (8% of the employed labor force in the Valdosta MSA) were either directly related to the University or created as a result of spending by VSU employees and students.
