Constructed by Tom Burdette and his son, Thomas Burdette, the house has ten fluted Corinthian columns made of tin and are about 25 feet in height. The porch was topped by a dentil molding. The exterior steps to the balcony were added when the home was converted into apartments.  Hill, a local attorney, and his wife resided in the house until 1922. When the Hills lived in Atlanta, it served as a boarding house. It was razed in 1972. Davidson, William H. Brooks of Honey and Butter; Plantations and People of Meriwether County, Georgia.
