In the letter, Keith notes that Mrs. Beamer's daughter, Hazel Beamer (before she took the married surname of Cutler, and who lived from 1901-1980) has been too busy to write, and assures her that Hazel Beamer's "throat trouble" is over. Keith reports that a friend asked Hazel to attend a commencement dance at the University of Virginia, which Keith and her husband thought Hazel would enjoy. Dora Wheeler Keith and her husband, New York lawyer and reformer Boudinot Keith (1859-1925) were Hazel Beamer's hosts and guardians in New York City, where Hazel Beamer attended college and performed as a dancer before she married.</dc:description><dc:format>application/pdf</dc:format><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:subject>Keith, Dora Wheeler, 1856-1940--Correspondence</dc:subject><dc:subject>Beamer, Bessie Baker, 1864-1955--Correspondence</dc:subject><dc:subject>Cutler, Hazel Beamer, 1901-1980</dc:subject><dc:subject>Mothers and daughters--Georgia--Thomasville</dc:subject><dc:subject>University of Virginia</dc:subject><dc:subject>Dance parties--Virginia--Charlottesville</dc:subject><dc:title>Letter, New York, New York, to Bessie Beamer, [1920-1930?] April 23</dc:title><dc:type>Text</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
