Certificates were pre-printed and relevant information added by hand. Each certificate provides date of marriage, names, ages, residences, and signatures of bride and groom, signatures of witnesses, and signatures and titles of officiating clergy. Also included is a list of the places of origin for brides and grooms for 38 marriages of soldiers stationed in Augusta between October 8, 1917, and February 3, 1918, during World War I. The original volume was microfilmed February 9, 1960 by Horace Mewborn for the Georgia Department of Archives and History.
