Often called "Georgia's Little Grand Canyon," Providence Canyon consists of several chasms, plateaus, cliffs, and pinnacles. Erosion has exposed the geologic record of several million years within its walls, and minerals have stained the sediments, creating a display of colors that range from white to various shades of pink, purple, red, brown, yellow, and black.</dc:description><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:relation>http://www.georgiaencyclopedia.org/articles/geography-environment/providence-canyon</dc:relation><dc:relation>Forms part of: New Georgia Encyclopedia</dc:relation><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/UND/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:source>http://www.georgiaencyclopedia.org/articles/geography-environment/providence-canyon</dc:source><dc:source>Forms part of: New Georgia Encyclopedia</dc:source><dc:subject>Canyons--Georgia--Stewart County</dc:subject><dc:subject>Trees--Georgia--Stewart County</dc:subject><dc:subject>Gorges--Georgia--Stewart County</dc:subject><dc:subject>Parks--Georgia--Stewart County</dc:subject><dc:title>Providence Canyon</dc:title><dc:type>StillImage</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
