Description:
Photograph of homes in the Druid Hills neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia. These two-story brick homes are situated on sprawling lawns with mature trees. Druid Hills is one of the oldest suburbs in the city. During the 1920s and 1930s suburbs began to appear in many of Georgia's cities, largely in response to the emergence of the automobile as a primary mode of transportation.
