Murray explains that a man named Holden told him that the slave in question was a free man a man named Bob, and and asked Murray to board Bob at his hotel.  After boarding Bob for three weeks, Murray sought payment, but Bob left with a man named Kimbell, who claimed that Bob owed him money.
