This church register documents the early organization and membership of Meadow Methodist Church. The volume includes a section titled “Names of the organic members of Meadow M.E. Church, souls organized the 3rd Sunday in November 1891,” attributed to "M. L. Underwood." It notes that Reverend C. E. Marks served as the church’s first pastor in 1900, and includes these sections: a list of pastors serving from 1900 to 1955; a register of marriages beginning in 1904; and a register of members beginning in 1899, with annotations extending sixty-two years, through 1961. Level Creek United Methodist Church, located in Suwanee, Georgia, was founded in 1822, two years after the Land Lottery of 1820, and thirty-nine years before the Civil War. Transcriptions were created by the Suwanee Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.</dc:description><dc:format>image/jp2</dc:format><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:subject>Level Creek United Methodist Church (Suwanee, Ga.)</dc:subject><dc:subject>Suwanee (Ga.)--History</dc:subject><dc:subject>United Methodist Church (U.S.)--Georgia--Suwanee</dc:subject><dc:subject>Methodist Church--Georgia--Suwanee</dc:subject><dc:subject>Church records and registers--Georgia--Suwanee</dc:subject><dc:subject>Suwanee (Ga.)--History--19th century</dc:subject><dc:subject>Gwinnett County (Ga.)--History--19th century</dc:subject><dc:subject>Georgia--History--19th century</dc:subject><dc:subject>Suwanee (Ga.)--History--20th century</dc:subject><dc:subject>Gwinnett County (Ga.)--History--20th century</dc:subject><dc:subject>Georgia--History--20th century</dc:subject><dc:subject>Church membership--Georgia--Suwanee</dc:subject><dc:subject>Genealogy</dc:subject><dc:subject>United Methodist Church (U.S.)</dc:subject><dc:subject>Registers of births, etc.--Georgia--Suwanee</dc:subject><dc:subject>Marriage records--Georgia--Suwanee</dc:subject><dc:subject>Recording and registration--Georgia--Suwanee</dc:subject><dc:subject>United Methodist Church (U.S.)--Church history</dc:subject><dc:subject>Level Creek United Methodist Church (Suwanee, Ga.)--History</dc:subject><dc:subject>Methodist Church--Clergy</dc:subject><dc:subject>Methodist Church--Membership</dc:subject><dc:title>Register of members, pastors, marriages, dates of services, 1900-1954 [Level Creek United Methodist Church Book 7]</dc:title><dc:type>Text</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
