Notes from the Suwanee Creek chapter members of the Daughters of the American Revolution, who transcribed and indexed the record book, state: "Images 8, 14, 16-22, 25-30, list names of women in an era when they were not often legally recognized. Images 31–44 titled “Records for Sunday” include the pastor’s name, songs, scriptures, subjects of lessons, and remarks. Images 44–55 provide the minutes of the Level Creek Sunday School. Image 51 includes Sunday school class offerings and a members' list where women are identified in Image 51." Level Creek United Methodist Church, located in Suwanee, Georgia, was founded in 1822, two years after the Land Lottery of 1820, and thirty-nine years before the Civil War.
