State of Georgia Mitchell County Know all men by these presents that we Hansell Adams and Adam Adams administrators of the Estate of John Adams late of said county deceased after public notice made according to law apply on the first [Monday] in [December] last to Jos J Bradford ordinary of said county leave to Sell two negroes to wit Annis a woman a slave and Claborn a boy slave the property of said deceased affairs of the Estate of the said deceased requiring that said Slaves should be sold and where as leave to sell Said Slaves was granted by said ordinary and [publication?] of said Sale being duly made the under and proceeded in the first [Tuesday] in [February] inst at the Court house [door] in Camille within the legal hours of Sale to sell ["two"] slaves at public outcry where said Slaves was knocked off to Joseph Taylor at and for the Sum two thousand two hundred and twenty dollars therefore by virtue of the authority in us vested as administrators as aforesaid we do here by grant bargain and Sell Slaves Annis a woman Slave and Claborn a boy slave to him the said Joseph Taylor his heirs and assigns in consideration of the Sum of two thousand two hundred and twenty dollars cash in hand in witness whereof we have here unto Set our hands and affixed our seals this February 6 day 1861 [signed] Hansill Adams Adam Adams Administrators on the Estate of John Adams deceased Signd Sealed and delivered in presents of Samuel Palmer Ely Holland
