[001] Nassau County Florida Know all men, by these presents that I, Sarah Parmenter widow, of County & State aforesaid, for & in consideration of the sum of five hundred & fifty dollars to me in hand paid by E. R. Alberti (through the hands of John W. Geiger) the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained & sold & by these presents do bargain & Sell unto said [Edwin] R. Alberti one Negro man named Jack, aged about Twenty years years who is sound & healthy - To have & to Hold the said negro Jack unto the said E. R. Alberti, his heirs & assigns forever - and I the said, Sarah Parmenter for myself & heirs will ever warrant & defend the title of the same, against all persons whatsoever[.] In Testimony whereof I have here- unto set my hand this Twentieth day of [January] 1847[.] [signed] Sarah Parmenter In presence of [signed] H.
