I have recd from the Executive 
Department a letter enquiring if any 
process had been served upon me as 
Attorney General of the state in the 
cause of the State of Florida or the State 
of Georgia. I have to inform your 
Excellency that a copy Bill in said 
cause has been served upon me - 
It was done the Saturday before 
the meeting of the Legislature 
I have neglected to notify yr Excellency 
of the fact, seeing that yr immediate 
predecessor mentioned the cause in his 
Message & having been informed by the 
Marshall that the Gov. had also been 
served, I transmit by same mail the
