[001] Sparta Sept. 20th. 1846 Dear Sir I stopped at Milledgeville long enough to read over the papers pertaining to the late boundary nego- ciations and to Commence the work of drawing up a report; but ill health constrained me to suspend, and though you will find the report brief enough, it was not finished till I reached this village. I know not how much more or less it may contain than might be desired - but if anything has been Omitted or unnecessarily dwelt on, on my return from Athens to Milledgeville such change will be made as may be called for. Mr Couper and I agreed, previous to my departure from Tallahassee, that each should exercise the right of subscribing the other's name to whatever might be written on the matter of our mission. I have therefore by authority subscribed his name to this report drawn up in his absence Very truly Yours Joel Crawford By Esq. Geo. W. Crawford Mill.
