Friday 27 Apl. 1827. 
Dear Sir, 
Your communication found us 87 miles on our 
return Line, in consequence of that communication, the Corres- 
pondence enclosed took place - Believing that it is necessary that 
Gov Randolph, myself & Mr Bell, our Secretary & accountant should 
repair to milledgeville for the purpose of making up our 
Accounts, and finally closing my Commission we shall proceed 
from this point in the Course of the day in We shall do the 
best with our remaining Stock of Stores (which are considerable) 
which our situation in the wilderness will admit of our 
Men have been allow'd 12 days to return to their homes, hoping 
and expecting to see you at Milledgeville in a few days
