Dear Sir, 
I wrote you two weeks ago expressing my 
willingness to accept your appointment. I have to 
day again received a letter from you, which makes 
it doubtful whether mine has been transmitted 
in regular time, my own individual belief 
is that there is no letter addressed to you 
from here, or addressed to me that does not 
undergo a special handling at the office 
in Darien
