Research identifies this wood frame building as the home of Osborne McKendree Bounds, Jr. (1892-1979). See page 43, item number 37, of "The historic homes of Washington, Georgia," by Janet Harvill Standard. This two-story wood-frame structure is built with white wooden siding and a gabled roof, in a colonial American (Pan-American) "plantation plain" style. The roof is covered with dark shingles and brick chimneys sit at both ends of the building. The façade has multiple rectangular windows with white frames symmetrically arranged on both floors. A small central porch with a triangular pediment is supported by white columns, leading to the main entrance door. The porch has a small set of steps and is flanked by white railings. The house originally stood on the Lundburg-Raytown Road and was carefully moved to a site on Spring Street (Sharon Road). The back section of the home (the long "L") home belonged to the Revolutionary War hero General John Graves and was attached to the old Wingfield house, ultimately comprising the entire house. Variant names include: Osborne Bounds House, Osborne Bounds, Jr. House.
