We expect a jubilant time of sharing as we explore our spiritual identity. This conference is being organized by Ron Lambe and Peter Kendrick from Asheville; and Raven Wolfdancer from Atlanta. We are being assisted by Randy Taylor, King Thackston, Gary Kauffman, Judith Leffe and many others. We are especially thankful to The Mountain Conference Center for their warm hospitality and extensive coordination and preparation of services for the conference. We also want to thank RFD, Southern Voice, and other publications for helping us get the word out. The initial backing for this conference is coming from Stepping Stone Corporation. Stepping Stone is a North Carolina corporation created years ago to be the legal owner of Running Water Retreat Center. As Running Water is presently for sale, the Stepping Stone Board of Directors is planning to focus its resources on events as [i.e. at] this conference. Please share your visions and ideas for future events with us at the conference. There is going to be a Stepping Stone Board meeting following the conference on Sunday, September 22 at Mountain Dining Hall Lounge. The meeting is open to friends. We want to remind you to bring warm, comfortable clothing to the conference. In order to create as safe a space as possible, we also want to remind everyone that illegal drugs are not appropriate. As there is always a possibility of undercover agents reporting illegal drug use, we ask that you not bring any illegal drugs. Although we do not expect this type of harassment, keeping the conference drug-free will keep the space safer from uninvited outside intrusion. As this conference is designed for adult gay men, there will be no facility for child care. Please make arrangements at home for your children. We hope you do not have to change plans, but should you need to cancel, contact The Mountain directly as soon as you know you must cancel. Refunds of $84 will be provided after the conference to registrants who cancel and cannot attend. Please notify The Mountain in advance so that your space can be made available to another. Again, we want to remind you that an opportunity to share you creative talent is planned and we encourage your participation. There will be an information table to share whatever you wish, as well as vending opportunities for crafts. Looking forward to sharing the magic with you. Sincerely, Peter Kendrick.</dc:description><dc:format>image/jp2</dc:format><dc:publisher>Atlanta, Ga. : Georgia State University Library</dc:publisher><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC-EDU/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:source>Cal Gough, loaned for digitization</dc:source><dc:source>Archives for Research on Women and Gender</dc:source><dc:subject>Radical Faeries (New Age movement)</dc:subject><dc:subject>Gays</dc:subject><dc:subject>Mountain Camp and Conference Center (Highlands, N.C.)</dc:subject><dc:subject>Gay Spirit Visions</dc:subject><dc:title>Celebrating Gay Spirit Visions, form-letter from Peter Kendrick announcing the 1991 conference, Asheville, North Carolina, August 1991.</dc:title><dc:type>Text</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
