Of note are extensive files on Gerald Ford, Hubert Humphrey, missile construction, the Convair Corporation, the Machinists Non-Partisan Political League, and the Ladies Auxiliary.The United Machinists and Mechanical Engineers of America was founded in 1888. In 1889, the name changed to the National Association of Machinists.
