The New York City to Atlanta "Good Roads Tour" started in NYC on October 25th and ended in Atlanta on November 3. It stopped in Anderson, South Carolina, on November 2, 1909. However, none of the names inscribed around this photograph appear in the newspaper lists of participants. Nathan Lazarnick does not appear to have been in this first race, either.
