Several of the prints are inscribed on verso: "c1992 Jean Shifrin/AJC." One print is date-stamped "Sat Jun 27 1992 J C" and "Sun Jun 28 1992 J C." One print has a newspaper assignment sheet attached to the print verso (AJCPov01-32FR): "A woman wearing a hejab, a traditional Islamic uniform (?) sits on a bench near Sultan Ahmet, or the Blue Mosque, in Istanbul." A newspaper caption is attached to the assignment sheet: "Many Muslims say the stereotype that Islam denigrates women simply isn't true, that it confuses faith and socio-historical conditions."
