The Southern Railway System, which owns the building, saved a number of ornaments from demolition. But individual buyers haven't rescued all the figures, including an amiable couple atop two columns, above, and a worried-looking fellow with a lion's body, below. A 67-year-old cherub, left, whose youthful features have cracked with age sits unwanted in the station parking lot. Otis Jones, superintendent of the demolition job for the Hudgins Co., says that no more sections will be cut from the building unless buyers interested in specific figures contact the company this week.
