According to the newspaper clipping reproduced in AJCP551-15, Stokely photographed the Joseph E. Brown in Calhoun, Georgia. In more recent hand on the verso of the mount: "Submitted by S.F. Lowe, 661 Francis Pl., NW, Atlanta."
